lua dofile issue

I am trying to call luaL_dofile, passing it a string containing "test.lua" which is the name of a file in the application's directory. The call doesn't seem to work (Just to make sure my VM was initialized properly, I tried a luaL_dostring on a function I bound and it worked properly). Any ideas what is wrong? (I have also tried passing the string directly in to luaL_dofile with no success)

I might try passing the full directory just to be sure that it isn't an issue with the relative directory. Other than that I'm not sure what would be wrong. I've used this function and it worked fine.

Also are you getting any error codes?
