Would probably be more efficient by learning in group form.

Often moderators will move a post that is in the wrong forum, rather than locking it. The result is the thread gets the audience it needs, instead of being destroyed. Moving is better than locking.

Locking is appropriate if a thread has devolved into a rampant hate fest; then it should be terminated.

That would work, BUT in this case, HW posts MUST follow the approved HW format. I'll try again to lock this. Maybe it'll work today.
