Collision external interface

In the last years I've being constructing hardware simulators but I always had the problem in getting a info of collision that occur in a game. I need help to resolve this I think that interface a game Dll would be the best way or the opossite my DLL being included in a game but I am not sure, because it is difficult that the game industry accept this. It is a question that is haunt me for several years. The other way is to detect the sound effects but I think It is not the best way.

I need help.
