Full screen, dual screen, Windows 7, directx problem
Hello all I am having an interesting problem with a simple 2d game I have created while using DirectX 9 and c++. I have tried running the game in many different formats to check compatibility. I ran it in XP, Vista, and Windows 7. The game works great in XP dual monitor but it has a problem when I run it in Windows 7 on duel monitors. I can hear the game but I can not see the sprites. I can interact with the game like it is there but the screen is completely black. I am running in full screen. Any ideas?
I have the same problems. Only way I can see anything fullscreen in Windows 7 is to disable my second monitor. Which is wierd because prof games works fine,
Does it work in window mode?
Do you have the latest DX SDK and driver updates for your graphics card?
Post your device setup code, and perhaps someone will be able to see the cause. If it doesn't work after you made sure you have the latest updates, start by trying to run one of the SDK samples and see if fullscreen works properly there, to determine if the problem is in your program or your system.
