I need to make a video game for school (it has to have historical information though :( ) and I want to statically link the c++ library (I'm using visual c++ 2008 express) so it can work on the school computers. When I try to change it from Regular to statically linked by going to Code Generation and switching the library to Multithreaded, I get a "multiple defined symbols error" I think the problem is that I include <windows.h> and <Windowsx.h>, but I need both of them. How can I resolve the problem? Thanks for any help.

What is the actually link error you are getting?

I am able to have both <windows.h> and <Windowsx.h> with /MT[d] enabled.
