Hi , im quite new to XNA , ive been working on it for about 4 weeks now for a University project.
Im struggling to get my sprite sheets to animate correctly.

How would i go about drawing say a laser coming from my ship when i hit space , but have it animate correctly?
This laser would also be colliding with enemy ships and i want to be able to control how fast the animation is played?

I have tried a few tutorials but all of them do it by time passed and usually dont work correctly. I cant really get my head around it even though its pretty simple?

Im also going to be having upto 5-7 sprites animating on the screen....

Please help! or at least point me in the correct direction!.

Josh,

Hi Josh! I understand that you want to play the animation without theuse of time? If so, then you can take the point of the report spriteanimations are not on the elapsed time, and use the current location of the laser. Or you can also count the number of laser painting and drawing on it to decide which part of the animation you draw. If youhave questions, ask:)
