DirectX9 Texture Terrain C++

Sorry if I have bad English smile.gifHi i'm moving from XNA to the DirectX API but I know C++ well. And today I ended the terrain tutorial in riemer site:


So now i want to add texture to my terrain and after this Multitexture option.
I dont have any idea how to do this.I see this:

but I dont understand how to use it.
maybe I can texture the terrain with .FX files from the XNA tutorial ?

Maybe someone can help me please? Thanks smile.gif

Easiest thing to do is a super-texture over the whole terrain. You would need to scale your terrain vertices into texture space & drop the height value to generate your texture coordinates.

Or tile an image, which would be an easier transition to simple multi-texturing. If you're using a grid-based triangle mesh for your terrain then generating texture coordinates for a single tiled texture is quite simple.
