Has anybody here heard of IllusionMage? I clicked on their ad on facebook.

The page looks sketchy. It looks like some Internet enterpreneur just learnt HTML. This thing interests me because I have never been good at 3Dsmax or Maya. I always suck at 3d design, despite my passion for drawing. Though I wouldn't necessarily say that I am going to start a brand new career as a 3d artist, at least having a toy like this where I can design a model or two to play around with it is good enough.
The program only costs you $47, which is not a bad deal if it's as good as they are advertising.

Has any of you tried it? Perhaps know some people who know some people who know the people created this program?

It's a scam. Read here: http://www.blender.org/blenderorg/blender-foundation/press/re-branding-blender/
So you can take a GPL project, rename it and sell it as an original commercial product with no legal consequences?
I bet that only works outside the US, EU..
[size="2"]I like the Walrus best.
Love their epic trailer.

It's an old version of Blender.

Just go grab 2.57 and knock yourself out. http://www.blender.org/

Wow. I am totally embarrassed now. I didn't realize that is Blender. Should've looked around first before I asked. unsure.gif
