You know when you are launching Unreal Tournament or M$ Office Applications they start with a loading screen that is centered in the middle of the screen and without any border, titlebar or systemmenu. I have tried many things, but the only solution that looks alike that I''ve found is to create a childwindow of the desktop. So far so good. But this may hidden behind some other windows/apps, so I need to make it always on top. This also doesn''t feel right, as now other apps can''t get at all in front of it. I guess that you can''t create that startup screen just as a child to the desktop. I guess that I need to create a new window, that is not a child of the desktop, but then I always have these borders, titlebars and so on that I don''t want. If anyone knows how to get a startup screen that is visible at first, but doesn''t need to be always on top, plz let me know.

Have you tried to create a WS_POPUP window ? Theses ones don''t have any borders and should get the job done.

Hope it helps.
