Hi, I am looking for a 3D game engine that features cartoon rendering, be it free or commercial. If anyone knows of such a good engine, please let me know! I am looking to build an educational game with this engine. Umesh upersad@tstt.net.tt

Most engines can be modified to do toon shading. Particularly if they do their own vertex lighting (it''s only a simple change - instead of dumping the light intensity into the diffuse vertex colour it''s put into a texture coordinate which is used to look up into a 1d texture containing the shading required).

Take a look at the nVidia shader browser (www.nvidia.com/developer) it has a cartoon shading demo using vertex shaders which you could use.

Another name for the technique is cell-shading, if I understand you (like in jet-grind radio for dreamcast). That may help you find something.
