Copied? As in using a CD-R to copy the CD? Whether or not you stop that, the person could just copy the file to their hard drive and burn it to another CD. Unless you want to stop the person from doing anything to the file but opening it, in which case it would be copied to RAM, and they have potential access to it anyway!
I think maybe Macromedia implemented something for Director but can''t remember enough about it.
Basically what you want to do is have your movie check for the existance of special markers on the CD before running. The exact type of markers differs from protection to protection. However, this would probably require more functionality than Flash offers.
The other option might be to have your movie fetch other files from the CD with a fixed path (e.g. d:\extrafile.swf), then if it didn''t manage to find those on d:\ it could display a message. You''d then need to protect the CD from being copied. I think www.cdmediaworld.com might be a good starting point to look at protection methods.
Good luck.
