[XNA] Switching to full screen resets RenderTargetUsage?

When loading my game I set up the RenderTargetUsage as follows:

graphicsDeviceManager.PreparingDeviceSettings += new EventHandler<PreparingDeviceSettingsEventArgs>(
delegate(object sender, PreparingDeviceSettingsEventArgs e)
e.GraphicsDeviceInformation.PresentationParameters.RenderTargetUsage = RenderTargetUsage.PreserveContents;

However, when I switch from windowed to full screen mode using:


the RenderTargetUsage is reset to RenderTargetUsage.DiscardContents and this property now persists when switching back to windowed mode.

How can I prevent this from happening and what delegate do I need to hook up?
