[DirectX 9] Materials imported from .X File designed with 3DS Max

Hello everyone,

I am developing a game in DirectX 9 (Managed) and VB.NET (I know it is odd :rolleyes: )

I am currently making meshes with 3DSMax 2010 and I am about to export them in .X files. I will import these .X files in my DirectX 9 / .NET code.
Materials with textures will be attached to these meshes. So, I was wondering :
Does DirectX can import materials designed with 3DSMax ? Can I design any materials with any textures and any maps in 3DSMax and recover it back in DirectX 9 through the .X file ?

For instance, if I create a mesh cube in 3DSMax with a glass-like material (opacity map and reflection map for instance) can I have the same render with the material that will be imported in my code ?
