I've been using gtkglext with freebasic fro a while, but i've decided to switch to c++. how should i go about getting the stuff i need for gtkglext into bloodshed dev c++ portable?

For starters, you shouldn't use Dev-C++. It's old, no longer supported, and not really C++ any more. Visual C++ Express is free, and better. Code::Blocks is also a good option.
