Hi,

I'm interested in making games that will run on most platforms, so I thought I'd try Java.
To start off easy I'm making a remake of the original Lode Runner. It's coming along nicely,
meanwhile breaking all copyrights :) Once this one is finished (took only two weeks so far),
I'm open to requests. Retro has my preference. I can program anything (I'm no fan of 3d),
graphics and sound I usually rip...

I would appreciate some feedback, especially what you are running it on. What libraries would I
need to make this work on Android/iOS etc?

You will need to have a Java runtime environment installed.

Download Lode Runner

Animated GIF of the original, my version is a little more smooth :)

Thanks.

Uhhm, I don't know about others, but I wouldn't check it out purely based on the fact that you admit (?) that you ripped all of the original graphics and sound - basically making it 99% copied. Just a thought.

I ripped it from the c64 version, that's been abandonware a long, long time. You can download the original game all over the Net.
Also, that's just during development. Anyone can change all graphics/sounds/levels.
