Good day.

I need to show video from a webcam (motion jpeg) in my .NET application. I have already extracted jpegs from the stream but do not know where to start with DirectX (want to use SlimDX as a wrapper).

What will be better for this purpose - Direct2D (draw frames by a timer) or DirectShow (filter or something)?. Where to start? Can you give me some hint or example?! :-)

I suppose it depends on what you're trying to do.
I have never used Direct2D or DirectShow unfortunately.

You should however have the most flexibility if you update a dynamic Texture2D every frame, which is what I would use.
