how to create (MinGW & Code Blocks g++) dll?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am trying to create a simple dll containing class.
And I am unable to do it. I am following tutorials and I get three possible results:
- linking errors,
-program works but doesn't see dll contents,
- i get WinMain@16 or aggregate error from g++.

Is there any working tutorial on how to make DLL in MinGW, MinGW with Code Blocks etc?

source code: http://www.mingw.org/wiki/sampleDLL did work, however I still don't know if this build release or debug builds, etc

Why cannot this be done in the Borland C++ manner?

Thanks in advance,

It is up to you to decide what "release or debug builds" actually are by adding additional compiler flags, for example.

There's no requirement in the C or C++ standards for any implementation to behave like Borland does.
