hi all:

i'm confused by the value of brdf database from Merl. the range of the data is far beyond [0,1] , either too small or too large.
i don't know what color space it uses.

Is anyone familiar with that , pls give me some advice , thanks.

it seems i have a very bad understanding about brdf.....

i've looked up some materials, the brdf value from database is correct ( of course correct.... )
Does it right?

The light in rendering always have a strong energy while the brdf value is pretty small most of the time , so the final color will lie in the range of [ 0 - 1 ] . And that's way indirect light affacts less than direct light.

Thanks for ur advice.
