Thanks for the report. I just tested the Artillera monster myself and did not notice anything unusual. What exacly isn't working correctly?

Well, for me the sprite of his attack was starting in the middle of the explosion, and then is stopped in a little bit past the beginning.

It happened twice.

So only a problem with the GIF animation? I'm afraid I can't do anything about that since the animations are not mine, I only play them :) Thanks though!

Something new and cool is coming up! A realtime exploration system where you can actually battle with each other together. This will open many new possibilities and creates a dynamic environment. Of course, that all isn't finished yet. Stay tuned!

Finally! Nickotopia has been launched. We've got 3 playable zones with 5 working quests, monsters and a boss. Of course a lot more is planned, and you can expect new zones, quests and bosses in the very near future!

Nickotopia now has a custom dedicated server that runs faster and more efficiently. Check it out for yourself.

The only issue I'm finding is the ping is 1000+ms and I'm on a T1 connection.

Hello.

I tried this out yesterday and let me just say that I'm very impressed with what you have accomplished with this game.

However i found the game "unplayable" becaus of lagg when entering combat.

I have good cable connection and a reasonable good computer too.
If you want specifics to pipoint the reason for the lagg tell me what you want to know =)

Thanks for the feedback Black-Rock and AlanSmithee! Actually, a "ping" of 1000 is normal for this game (700 average) and yeah there is always a little lag unfortunately. This is because PHP and Ajax can't handle speeds like a normal game server can. I play tested with a friend while we both had about 700 ping and found the game quite playable.

The ping is a bit confusing for this game, as it is not really a ping but more the ajax interval time for updating the world's events, NPC's and tiles. I'd like to set this lower but am afraid to reach the server limit very soon, especially with more players joining.

AlanSmithee, what do you mean with "unplayable"? How much ping were you having?

It's not horrible in terms of being playable or not, it's just annoying. The game play and item collecting make up for it by far! [img]http://public.gamedev.net//public/style_emoticons/default/smile.png[/img]

My question: I'm at lv 10, done all the quests, what next? The highest thing I'm killing is the worm Boss.

We still need to add new content, hang on! We'll be adding new zones, bosses, and other features very soon.
