Hi, I''m tracing through the TerrainEngine and I have found where the height field is loaded into the engine, but I can''t find "PR_LoadTerrain" in the docs. Its listed in the index but pulls up PR_LoadTexture instead. Its not in the Terrain Interface section either. Basically I''ve switched from characters to terrain and now need to consume its section of the documentation. If anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tony

I''ll have to fix that and give out a new version of the help file.

If you''re going to use Landscape Studio at all, you don''t need to learn those. LS_LoadLevel from the high level engine calls the terrain loading for you.

Currently my use of Power Render is just an intense learning expedition to determine what is available and to what capacity, which of the interfaces I want to use, or how to use them..... sooooo a new help file would be great! And a new character anim doc too! *wink* *wink*

With your help file system, can you save it as a PDF also?

Have you read the tutorials and docs within the CHR Edit help? There are some basic tutorials in there explaining each of the animation source types.

I won''t be able to convert the HTML help files to any other format. It wouldn''t have page numbers or an index anyways.

Yeah, I have went through most of the help files already...that doesn''t mean that I retained all of the information though. I will continue to do so until I feel comfortable with the system, most likely forever!

As for the PDF, they are easier to print and take to the "reading room" than an html based document. No big deal though, I''ll make do.

Thanks,

Tony
