Graphics Grass help

Hey

I am having issues with my grass tile which is causing it to look repeated - I can't work out why though. I made grass strands to make it overlap but there is still darker colours on the edges - yet many isometric games add some nice grass to their games so i don't get how they solve this problem.

I turned pre-multiply off to help with the edges of the model being nice and crisp with out the black edges, and my tile is not v.varied in colour yet this same pattern exists no matter what i do and i don't know where it is coming from..

This is the grass tile i modelled:

This is the result when displayed:

It seems even if i use a few variations these darker lines appear. I use Maya to model my grass by the way - has any one else done grass for theirs, if so how did you do it ?

It looks like the bottom of your tile is darker than the top, which is probably why the tiling is visible. Try giving your grass a uniform color, keeping the alpha channel as it is now, and see if the effect goes away.
Hi,

I tried the uniform colour and matched the colour of the floor the grass is on but it still doesn't seems to look like grass it looks repeated - yet ive seen so many games do it perfectly fine =/

I just don't get how games do it with the grass strands and making it look right.
