Mipmapping in Direct3D 10 (Just to be Sure)

Just a quickie.
I searched for automatic mipmap generation in Direct3D 10 (I have no use for D3D10CreateTextureFromFile()) and found nothing.
Unfortunately, that doesn’t mean it isn’t there. So before I write a Kaiser window filter (actually I will anyway but I want to put it off if I can) I would just like one final confirmation that there is no automatic mipmapping in Direct3D 10.

Thank you,

That is crazy. I have a book, samples from the documentation, and online samples, and none of them mention that at all.
Maybe because everyone is crutching on that D3D10CreateTextureFromFile() function, which is almost all I could find on the subject of making textures.

See for yourself!

Thank you. That will allow me to put off the Kaiser filter for a while so I can keep advancing on the fun bits.

If I can not find needed functionality with search, then I usually go through reference of all methods of interfaces (ID3D10Device, ID3D10Resource, ... etc) and read methods names or their description (if name triggers "oh, maybe this does thing I need")
