So ive been trying to get xna working in win forms, i have the render, but I cant draw to it because I cant figure out how to access it. It keeps telling me I need a IServiceProvider, but it seems to be a type I can't instantiate, anyone know how I can do this?

Ive just posted a solution to this problem on my home page. also watch lesson 2 of my video series in XNA as it explains how to initialize content manager without having a game loop and provides the source code

Thanks for the reply. Ive decided to put the editor I was working on into the actual game which got rid of alot of my problems. Ill be sure to check your site out anyway though, thanks.

Your very welcome!

As for putting the editor into your game. i highly recommend against this! well actually its more of a personal preference of mine but i find that by combining game... and editor into a single program you end up doing a lot of 'hackish' code to get things to work smoothly between the two modes.

Again this is my personal opinion on the matter but in previous games where ive tried this type of code the project gets very messy very fast. i highly recommend separating your game tools into separate projects for maintenance and scaleability reasons
