Projectile/Bullet algorithm

Hey guy's I'm trying to get something to shoot. But I'm not sure if there's decent algorithm for this out there?

I have an angle from a point, I'd like the projectile to move for example a space of 5 units on each update...

Do I use line algorithm all store all the points? And then when it's off screen remove it?
