[ask] MMO standardization

Hi masters...
i have develop a flash MMO virtual world for my coursework by using socket server Smartfoxserver and succesfully hosted it to VPS...
and i have more question aboutdeveloping MMO..

Is the MMO have a standarization? like IEEE or ITU?
Does anybody know what the standardization of developing MMO? like connection performance, speed, availibility or other?
How to measure the quality of socket server? (connection,availibility,speed) Does Wireshark could?


Help..

Nope.

To integrate with services (XBox, AppStore, Steam, ...) there are either provided APIs that must be implemented and/or the application needs to follow certain guidelines.

By number of paying users vs. the cost needed to produce content for them.

This question was discussed just a few weeks ago on this forum. You may be able to use forum search to find the various suggestions at that time.

Suggestions at the time included, for example:
- IEEE 1278 (DIS)
- IEEE 1516 (HLA)
- LESS (draft W3C proposal)
