MS suggests that the world and view matrices be combined into a single world-view matrix, while setting the view matrix to the identity. This is done to minimize hardware setup associated with Transform State changes. Has anyone seen this optimization used, or implemented it? If so, was there an appreciable improvement( atleast 1 FPS )?
