Yeh, Yeh. I admit, I use allegro. Are there any simple alternatives? I''m not talkin "directX" or "opengl" cause those seem overly complicated to me (unless someone here has a link to a *great* article on one of the two (and yes I have read nehe and been totally wow''ed by how slow opengl is)). I''m looking for bitmap functions, putpixel, getpixel...*simple* stuff to run under Winx or dos. -> www.scallion.sp00fed.net <-

If you''re looking for stuff that simple, Allegro is probably as good a choice as any. One thing, though: if you found OpenGL slow, I have to ask what hardware you were running it on. In software mode, yes, it is slow .
