Loading bitmaps from resources into DX

Hello all, I got several bitmaps that I included as bitmap resources in my compiler (they''re in the resource file tab). What I want to do is load the bitmaps (which are now resources) ont DirectDraw surfaces. The thing is with resources I''m dealing with handles and so forth. How do I marry the two together? Here''s what I was going to do, however I wanted to check and see if anyone has tacked this. Anyway here''s how I was going to do it...I would load the resource using the LOADIMAGE function call, then try using the GETPIXEL call and simply copy from one pixel to another. The thing is, in the GETPIXEL prototype the first parameter it wants is a HDC. What does that have to do wit the DDsurface I created in order to receive a "copy" of the bitmap resource? This is confusing me to say the least....any help would be welcomed!! ~ Boltimus ~
