D3DXOF: Failed to open file level.x

This code invokes loading a file:
if (NULL==m_Mesh.m_pMesh)
if (FAILED(m_Mesh.Load(m_pd3dDevice, "level.x"))) AfxMessageBox("Failed to load a file!",NULL,MB_OK);

Behind m_Mesh.Load is:
HRESULT OMesh::Load(LPDIRECT3DDEVICE8 pd3dDevice, char *filename)
{
LPD3DXBUFFER pMtrlBuffer = NULL;
HRESULT hr;
if( FAILED( hr = D3DXLoadMeshFromX( filename,D3DXMESH_SYSTEMMEM,
pd3dDevice, NULL, &pMtrlBuffer,&m_dwPocetMaterialu,m_pMesh ) ) )
return hr;
...
}
Above function returns always hr due to the failure
After D3DXLoadMeshFromX I''m working with textures, materials,etc.
