Enviroment Mapping in OGL

hi everyone.. i own a Radeon and have tried to do enviroment mapping in OGL, and technically I succeded, but the problem is that the reflection of the enviroment map on objects is very VERY blury, as if it''s using a very low resolution texture for the env mapping..what I actually use is a 1024*1024 bitmap...so why is that? can anyone help? thanx
