Hi,

Lately, I've been developing in Unity.
Now, I'm tackling on a 2d project, and it feels like Unity just won't cut it.
Someone pointed me to Torque 2d, and I've had a quick look at their website.
It sounds like a nice engine to use, and I wanted to know if any of you have had any experience using this.

What pros and cons should I expect?
Is it suitable for a 2d RPG?
How much control do I have on the actual rendering? (I'm asking specifically because I feel both Unity and Flash in general have this 'staple' rendering that makes it easy to identify what technology was used to make the game, and feels redundant. The project I'm taking on at this stage is a bit picky on the visual style it wants to use).

Basically, anyone who has used the engine, feel free to share your thoughts.

Regards,

Orymus.
The fact you were there before they invented the wheel doesn't make you any better than the wheel nor does it entitle you to claim property over the wheel. Being there at the right time just isn't enough, you need to take part into it.

I have a blog!
