trying to learn & implement buoyancy

Hi everyone ,

I want to make a buoyancy implementation as it is here :


What sources would you suggest to study in order to implement it ?



( What I want to produce is that I have a simple water in a water pool , I want to spawn objects above water , make them fall based on gravity

then they will be disturbing water , I am doing that by storing height per water vertex and updating them but after that I want to make those object

float realistically )

Erin Catto published an article in Game Programming 6 about buoyancy. He used this method in Tomb Raider. This might be a good start for a practical implementation. For general theory Wikipedia and Google are your friends.
