I have installed AgeOfEmpires on my computer. I can play 2 with success. I have turn off my computer. I have turn on my computer and try to play AOE but, it''s not possible, the game does not starts. It''s same for all the games on my computer. (with messages same : directdraw error…). Same problem with a DVD movie playing PowerDVD : your card does not support directdraw, try to decrease your screen depth (640x480) or your frequency (60Hz). I have reinstalled drivers of my graphic card, download new drivers, reinstall directX 8, but no results. I have try to decrease acceleration possibilities, but it’s similar. It’s possible to correct this problem without format my drive ? Sorry for my horrible English, I’m French. Thank’s ;-) BTKtechnologies

Or better: Just format and start all over again, A clean installation of Windows is so cool...
In any case, Try installing a different version of your Video Card''s drivers and also try installing an older version of DirectX.
