Software Engineering?

I am currently pursuing a Software Engineering degree (as you may have guessed). My question is, can this degree get me into the industry as well as a Computer Science degree? Or will I be stuck designing women's fashion websites for all eternity?

The specific degree is often less important than simply the fact that you have a degree; if you can program decently well, I wouldn't worry about it.

I'll echo ApochPiQ; My coworkers (the programmers, that is) have an assortment of CS, SE, and even Electronics degrees, but *everyone* has a degree of some sort. I personally have an SE degree. As long as you can do what the job requires (and can communicate that effectively to the interviewer(s)), you're golden.
