I have a question, whenver I debug my windowed app, and I have code inside of a LockRect() UnlockRect code block, the app freezes on my comp. I can still move the mouse and stuff but I cna''t exit out or anything my only restort is to press the restart button on my case. Is there anyway to fix or get around this besides me having to comment out the block between LockRecta nd UnlockRect to be able to debug hte rest of my app. BTW the app does work, I just need to debug it to figure something out about it. This should be in the DirectX forum, since it''s obviously about DirectX.

Anyway, in answer to your question, pass a D3DLOCK_NOSYSLOCK to the LockRect() method. Normally, DirectX puts a critical system lock between your Lock and Unlock calls. This ensures that no video mode changes occur while the surface is locked (thus invalidating it).
