Several questions on model export

My character model is prebuilt with biped (max 2011)
1) Sometimes the biped panel disappears, i select the biped in the "select" menu, but sometimes it still doesn't come up in the rollup

2) I can't move the character to the origin (0,0,0), sometimes I select affect pivot only then move the gizmo, upon return, I can't move the character any more.

3) I select footstep mode and I use Panda Exporter, the length of the animation is 27 for example, I set the length in the exporter animation dialog box to 27, tick everything else as usual, the model came out of shape.

4) Do I have to select sampled or key frames only
,select 3ds max ticks or key seq
and select matrix or position scale & rotate
in the animation tab of the exporter?

5) Previously I had my model built correctly, but somehow it was stuff up. Is there anyway that I can recover that file?

6) When I am in biped mode, the animation and key frames on the timeline has no effects. Why?

Heaps of questions up to I can recall on top of my head so far
