Tga pictures in DelphiX

Hi all! I''ve have a problem that I hope you guys can help me with?! Ok, I have downloaded GraphicEx library to load TGA pictures, but if the TGA picture has a Alpha channel set on different pixels, then GraphicEx wont fix that, so Any Idea how I can find a component, grafix library etc, that I can use with DelphiX as well, to load correct TGA pictures? And show the correct picture useing DelphiX? Any tip would be helpful! Thanx in advance!

Do you want to show the pictures with an alpha channel? If so, you''d have to write your own display routine.

If not, try Assign()ing the TGA to a TBitmap and Add()ing to a DXImageList.

I also have to test you version om layers... see if I get it to work... thx again!

BTW: How is it going with UnDelphiX for DirectX 8? Will it ever come? I really like UnDelphiX and it works fine!

UnDelphiX for DX8 is coming along slowly, due to a lack of time on my part.

Plus, DirectDraw 2D hasen't really changed in DX7 to DX8 -- so a UnDelphiX for DX8 wouldn't really have much in the way of new VCLs, unless I wrote them from scratch.

Things that I am working on for UnDelphiX right now...

  • TDXImageListCompressed -- LZH compressed imagelist
  • TDXWaveListCompressed -- LZH/MPEG compressed wavelist
  • TDXTextureList -- 2D on 3D Imagelist
  • TDXInputList -- Bind DirectInput keys to game functions w/ editor
  • DXPixels UNIT -- yet another pixel unit, this time built into UnDelphiX
  • DXGEdit 2.0 -- opensource DXG editor with compression and texturelist support
  • DXWEdit 1.0 -- opensource DXW Editor with compression support
  • Lots and Lots of DEFINEs (DELPHIXNT, DELPHIX2000, DELPHIXDX5, DELPHIXDX7, DELPHIXDX8 )


That's about it...

Oh... that''s good! I know that there isn''t much about 2D news in DirectX 8, but we want to be updated right? ;-)
