Wanted to inform the GameDev community of a blog I've recently started:
2d Game Making Blog

I figured, I've gotten lots of help from people here, and other places, I wanted to share some of my experiences by making a 2d game and documenting it for others to use.

Mainly, it will focus on using SFML, chipmunk-physics, tinyxml, and gleed2d editor to make a top-down game.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks.

This is a good concept (to document your progress). I would suggest a white colour scheme with full-width of the browser used because it's easier to read code that way.

Awesome work, and very glad to see a data-based system. There is an issue when quitting, at least on my computer it crashes. Haven't thoroughly tested it, but when I escape-quit windows reports the crash.

Unhandled exception at 0x00418529 in SmashPc.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00000000.[/quote]

I believe that's an issue with the sfml version I have (which is an unreleased v2.0). Sometimes it crashes when exiting because of something in the sound system.
