Intersecting & perpendicular planes

Hello everybody,

I have a plane 1 described by a normal and a point.

I would like to find a plane 2 that is intersecting plane 1 and perpendicular to it.

How can I find this plane 2 ?

For the second plane, generate a direction vector that is perpendicular to the normal of the first plane: Use the cross product with the normal of the plane and an arbitrary other direction vector that is not collinear to that normal. The second plane normal is the result of that cross product, and to define the d value for the plane equation (or the point on the plane), you can pick an arbitrary value, say d=0, or reuse the same point than the first plane has. See here for an example of how to compute a vector perpendicular to another vector (and make sure it doesn't turn out degenerate).
