How do I create skybox textures?

I'm not happy with the skyboxes in my King Voxel game - they look like you're inside a box!

The problem is the edges and particularly corners are farthest from the camera, so the sky in that section looks compressed.

I know u can "warp" each skybox face texture so the texture along the edges and corners is magnified. This counters the perspective effect so with the warped textures everything looks the right size in the final render.

Does anyone know of a good website which has the equations to accomplish this warping effect? I would much rather do it in code in my skybox content loader than feed my textures through some tool to do it for me.

I tried to come up with these equations myself, but I couldnt figure it out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
