Shader not showing in xz plane

Hi,

when I apply my shader to a plane in the xz coordinate plane it doesn't show.
However if I make a simple changes and change it back again to the original xy coordinate plane it does show.

Not working example:

m_WaterShader.EnablePrograms();

glBegin( GL_QUADS );
{
glTexCoord2f( 0.0f, 1.0f );
glVertex3f( -1.0f, 0.0f, 1.0f );

glTexCoord2f( 1.0f, 1.0f );
glVertex3f( 1.0f, 0.0f, 1.0f );

glTexCoord2f( 1.0f, 0.0f );
glVertex3f( 1.0f, 0.0f, -1.0f );

glTexCoord2f( 0.0f, 0.0f );
glVertex3f( -1.0f, 0.0f, -1.0f );
}
glEnd();

m_WaterShader.DisablePrograms();


Why is this and how can I fix this?
