5 posts in this topic

Hello all! My name is James Daniels, I'm a Community Manager and Content Developer for Sagramore, a 2D browser-based MMORPG set in the high fantasy world of Lumera. Don't worry, I am not here to just plug in a site and leave, I'll check back daily to answer any questions anyone may have. These forums also interest me, so I'll stick around.

Sagramore is a 2D browser-based MMORPG based on browser interaction. We are constantly developing and expanding the game and feature sets. With a large world to explore, many adventures and quests await you, which you can access from almost any device with internet access.

Browsers have seen a leap in performance these last few years. This opened up the way for us to try a new concept. This is also driven by the growing market for smart phones, tablets, and netbooks. We see a growing demand in games to play on these devices.

We simply wish to create an experience, an online story that can be accessed from nearly anywhere, and looked to HTML to bring this experience to life. We hope to bring a story to the world that is partially created by us and partially by its own community. So please join us in our public alpha testing currently underway!

Some technical information about Sagramore. No, we are not using some MMORPG Maker engine. Sagramore uses our very own Lumera Engine, created in house.

Lumera Engine is a Javascript topview HTML based front end and C++ backend client-server setup which can be implemented for a number interactive uses.

Examples of use are:

Interactive realtime chat applications
Team-focused games (capture the flag , online RPG, online strategy games)
Innovative website interactivity extention.
Lumera Engine includes a multi-user, javascript, live tilebased world-editor used to create areas, maps, and worlds.
It is currently still under development.
