AABB and Bullet - Varying results

I have two meshes where one appears to have a min/max Y-axis value for its AABB where they're nearly identical (ie: +576 and -566) and another where they're both position (+125 and +1.5). How can I calculate my half extents needed for Bullet's rigid box shape so that both meshes will clamp to the ground plane during their simulation rather than having one hover above the ground?
