i have a particle system on the GPU geometry shader , using stream out, so its compleatly independant of the cpu
this is being written and set via the vertex buffer

i am using a noise texture for random number for vectors

i was thinking , is there a way to send over a meshs , vertex data , so that i can pick a random possition and normal , and generate a partile from that .

so that a mesh becomes an emitter and it uses its normals for its vectors, that way the mesh would define the particle sytem ?
