its only prototype so far.
i have 2 ideas. camera like in classic desert strike from '93 or default third person camera for classic shoters.
here are movie with 2 presentations of camera.

In my opinion, it really depends on which type of gamer you are aiming. An isometric view like Desert Strike feels more strategic and slow paced. A third person camera (comes to mind something like Starfox) is more dynamic and more related to action and guns rather than strategy and thinking.

Can't watch the youtube videos now, sorry.

I think you should change camera positions in different levels.

Didint thought about this... could be nice idea.

Or have both and let the player switch onto which one is the most confortable for them, make sure your gameplay can cope with this though if you take this path. You don't want to make one more effective over the other as having both would make one useless.

No, this is a bad idea. Players get used to camera settings, and making them switch between camera settings between levels will not work. Between game play modes perhaps, but I cant see how, in a helicopter game, you can derive the camera behaviour from the level itself.

I liked the first style of camera; ive always found cameras that don't point in the same direction as you are shooting somewhat awkward. There is a difference between a challenging game and challenging controls - you dont make a game more challenging by making the interface harder to use, that is just frustrating.
