OpenGL some questions about CG and OpenGL 3,4

Recommended Posts

1. are CG ( CG 3) supports OpenGL 3.x and 4.x features like as VAO and UBO's ?
2. can i specify location of uniforms in CG ( for example setting in_Position to the number 11 and ...)?
3. can i use CG with OpenGL in other vendors like as ATI/AMD and Intel ?

1. I'm not a Cg coder so I wouldn't know. I think you just use straight GL functions for VAO since this doesn't appear in the shader.A VAO is for setting up GL function pointers.
I don't know about UBO because that is something that needs to be coded in the shader.
2. in_Position sounds like a attribute and not a uniform.
3. For AMD and Intel, you have 2 choices. You compile for the old and obsolete ARB_vertex_program and ARB_fragment_program or you compile to GLSL. I probably have the command line code at home.
