GPU Gems code

Hi,

Im planning to buy GPU Gems. I chose this book because it comes with code example. But I notice that the book is published by nvidia. My vga is ATI and my os is OSX. Will I have a problem running the sample program? anyone has experience with this book? any other graphic programming book that come up with code?

Sure as hell you will. It's full of Direct3D code. Maybe Wine could help you.
As for the OpenGL code, most examples I recall by memory used ARB code paths... there's indeed some chance at least some programs will use NV specific code paths.
I have GPU Gems 1 & 2.

im still planning to buy gpu gems 1 based on the review its a great book. just for curiousity, whats the percentage of dx vs opengl code on the book?
