What's the difference between multimapping and MIP

i want to know the difference between them,and details. i know MIP is a tech which uses many pic in different revolutions to optimize the texture mapping. but i don''t know what is multimapping at all,could u tell me? thanks very much! jerry2 Programming,make a whole new world.

Click on the Game Dictionary option in the menu on top and go to the M section. Look it up there... It''s probably in there.
