I'm having trouble figuring out as to why Visual Studio 2010 won't tell me that I made an error. For an example I type blah into the editor it won't show that it hasn't been defined or anything and when I build it says there still no errors. Has anyone else have this issue before? If so how do I go by fixing it?

I went and tested on another .cpp file in the program and it's responding as it should but when I make a new cpp file it doesn't.

It wont complain about any errors if the file is not added to the project. Just creating a new file doesn't automatically add it to the project.

Did you use new file in visual studio so its added to the project?

Sometimes visual studio mess things up.. try deleting the .sdf file and start the project up again..
