2D Sprite in 3D Space

I'm using java right now to experiment with 3D spaces, and manipulating the objects with in. ( Raycasting is fun ) .

I would like to know if there is a guide for making a 2D sprite rotate to always face the camera angle of the player .
Just like Doom, Wolfenstein 3d, or Runescape Classic.

That depends 100% on how you're implementing your game!
I guess noone here will be able to help you really much without access to the code, and few will have time to read it and answer you =/

I still don't think I'll be able to point him to a good guide without knowing if he's using java 3d api or Ogre4j or something else.
